NWI Capabilities On Display at World of Wipes® 2024
The Nonwovens Institute (NWI) enjoyed a very productive World of Wipes® this week at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. The event attracted more than 500 attendees from across the nonwovens value chain, providing an excellent opportunity for NWI to showcase its capabilities for wipes applications from novel raw material options for unique substrates to sustainability concepts and more.
NWI presented its service offering for the nonwovens industry during the Tabletop Display and Networking sessions on Tue. June 18 and Wed. June 19, with Behnam Pourdeyhimi, Ph.D., executive director, and Matt Migliore, marketing director, engaging with WOW attendees, learning about their challenges and answering questions, while also showing some of the Institute’s new prototype materials for wipes and other nonwovens applications.
Key topics covered during WOW included the evolution of wipes technology, innovations in product design and manufacturing, plastic alternatives and sustainable designs, advances in formulations for wet wipes, and a review of the regulatory landscape for wipes technologies.
“WOW offers a platform for industry leaders to collaborate, share insights, and drive the future of wipes manufacturing and usage,” said Dr. Pourdeyhimi. “For those companies who are seeking to innovate in the wipes category, NWI can be an excellent resource with more than 100 years of combined experience in wipes product development and manufacturing housed at the Institute. We encourage companies with new product ideas and application challenges to reach out to us for more details on how we can help.”
