Nonwoven Fabric Property Development and Characterization Short Course
June 4 - June 7
The Nonwoven Fabric Property Development and Characterization Short Course provides attendees a fundamental understanding of polymer properties, fiber properties, fabric properties and product-specific properties, with a product exemplar to show how each of these properties influence success in a real-world scenario.
Upon completing the course, attendees will have an in-depth understanding of how the most important nonwoven fabric properties are achieved and how they are measured to ensure end-product quality. This course will consider properties such as tensile, basis weight, compressibility, softness, fiber orientation distribution and diameter, thickness, air permeability, moisture and vapor transmission, and flammability, just to name a few. Attendees will also benefit from hands-on learning with experiments in The Nonwovens Institute’s state-of-the-art fabrication and testing labs.
If you attend this course, you will:
- Learn about testing and quality management systems, including important certification processes such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, etc.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of how important nonwoven fabric properties are achieved and how they are measured to ensure end-product quality.
- Get expert insight on structure-property-process relationships, with a product-specific exemplar designed to show how nonwoven properties influence success in a real-world scenario.
Featured Topics Include:
- Testing and Quality Management System
- Certification Process (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, etc.)
