Carded Nonwovens Technology Short Course

October 3, 2024

The Staple Fiber and Carded Nonwovens Short Course provides attendees a fundamental understanding of the process of forming carded nonwoven webs and offers guidance on how to control structure-property-process relationships to optimize carded nonwoven materials based on the requirements of the application. This course is designed to be accessible and valuable to both those who are new to the field and/or come from a non-technical background, as well as seasoned nonwovens professionals.

Upon completing the course, attendees will have a comprehensive grasp on carded nonwoven production processes, including raw material selection, basic science knowledge, testing, and the characterization used to create end-use products. The course will explain how to exploit machine design and raw materials to the advantage of the application. Attendees will also gain insight into the nonwoven fabrics industry with market forecasts and learn the significant role carded nonwoven materials play in industry – all while creating incredible fabrics using NWI’s state-of-the-art fabrication and testing facilities.
